Guide to Registering & Bidding

You can view any auction without registering. Click on the "Auctions" link and select an auction to view. At the bottom of that auction information block, select “Register” (or “Catalogue” to view only).

A box will appear titled “Bidder Login”. To register, click on the box for “New Bidders”.

Fill in the information boxes on the screen. Be sure to “save changes” at the bottom of the page. * If the “user name” you’ve selected is already in use, you will be prompted to select a different user name. User names and passwords are case-sensitive. You must check the box confirming that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions of the auction. Once you’ve completed this screen, press “SUBMIT” at the bottom. You will receive a confirmation message indicating you have registered successfully.

Bidder Tips and Strategy:

SOFT CLOSE:

"Soft Close" is a process whereby items close at regular intervals. To prevent a bidder from ‘sniping’, all bids made in the last minute of the auction will force an item to stay open for an additional 5 minutes. This will continue until all bidding on a specific item has ceased.

STRATEGY:

"Maximum Bid" allows bidders to place a "maximum bid" on an item. This does not mean you will have to pay that bid amount; you pay one bid more than the next highest bid, and only up to your maximum bid. The software system will play out the bids as you would at a live auction and only uses the funds required to beat out the under-bidder at the defined bid increment.

Online auctions offer buyers:

- Bid and purchase from the comfort of your home or office, convenient to your schedule

- All purchase transactions processed by convenience of credit card

- Opportunity to research an item prior to bidding

"The currency charged will be based on your location/auction selection and will be either in USD or CAD currency as listed in the auction."

Terms and Conditions - To Bid and Buy

REGISTRATION & IDENTIFICATION:

At the time of registration, we collect information about you to verify who you are before you can bid. We collect credit card information to ensure that you are a qualified buyer. All bidders must be of legal age to bid. Bidders expressly authorize the Auctioneer to use their credit card to satisfy the payment amount as well any deposit required. If the bidder has not actively bid on an item/lot and/or does not owe any outstanding settlement, monies will be automatically released in accordance with standard credit authorization and deposit procedures. There is no cost to register for an auction. Your credit card will not be charged unless you win. By your registration you agree to accept all charges placed on the card that is used at registration, and waive any and all rights concerning charge backs or refunds for any items charged off to me.

PAYING FOR YOUR PURCHASES:

When an auction closes, if you are the winner, you will be charged with the winning bid amount, plus applicable Buyers Premium and taxes, as stated in terms of auction. Auctioneer reserves the right to resell any property not paid for in full within two days of the online auction item/lot’s closing date. If your total purchase is $2,500 or less, the total amount will be charged to your credit card at the close of the sale. For winning bidders, purchases totaling an amount GREATER than $2,500, a non-refundable deposit will be charged to your credit card immediately following the auction in the amount of $2,500. The remaining balance owing will be due within 48 hours following the auction, unless prearranged with the Auctioneer. Payment can be made by electronic transfer, credit card or certified funds. Items not paid in full within 48 hours will be considered abandoned and will not be released for pickup. No refunds or credits will be issued on abandoned merchandise.

REVIEWING YOUR BIDS:

During an auction you can check the status of your bids during the auction. Note that no bids can be withdrawn after the auction for any reason. All items are sold “as is, where is”.

BIDDING NOTIFICATIONS:

You can choose to be notified by e-mail during the auction if you have been outbid. Please note that outbid notifications are NOT sent out during the last two hours of the sale.

WINNING NOTIFICATION & INVOICING:

All winning bidders will receive an e-mail invoice shortly after the auction closing.

PICKUPS & REMOVALS:

Dates and times for pickup will be posted on our website. Items are sold as is, where is. All items must be picked up or shipping arranged within 7 business days from the close of auction. If items are not picked up or shipping arrange, the item is considered abandoned. If you abandon an item, your credit card will be charged for the purchase price of the item plus the cost to remove, transport and dispose the item. Payment in full must be received prior to items being picked up or removed. If shipping is required, arrangements can be made with the vendor after full payment has been received, at purchaser's expense. Merchandise becomes the full responsibility of Buyer at time of PAYMENT, and buyer assumes all risk of loss and damage to property. After the final removal date, there will be a $35.00 per day, per item/lot storage fee charged to the Buyer. If merchandise is not removed within seven days after the final removal date, the ownership of the merchandise will revert back to the original Owner/Seller and the Owner/Seller may dispose of or resale the item/lot at their discretion.

CONDITIONS OF ITEMS SOLD & OUR ONLINE CATALOGUE:

Our best efforts are made to represent all items accurately in descriptions and photographs; however, all items are ultimately sold on an 'as is, where is' basis. We strongly encourage all bidders to personally verify the condition of each item during the scheduled preview times. No responsibility is assumed by Point and Click or the seller for any errors or omissions.

CLAIMS:

No claims regarding goods purchased will be allowed. Bidders are reminded that all goods are sold on an 'as is, where is' basis.

PERSONAL & PROPERTY RISKS:

We will not be liable for damage or injury to individuals or their property.

ADDITIONS & DELETIONS:

We reserve the right to remove and/or add lots and/or items to the sale at any point during the auction.

BUYERS:

The BUYER expressly agrees to indemnify and save Point & Click Auctions, the Seller and their assigns harmless from and against all claims, losses, expenses, damage or liability, directly or indirectly caused by or resulting from an act, including the negligent acts or omissions of Point & Click Auctions, or anyone acting in his/her behalf in connection with or arising out of auction. All bidders/buyers must be of legal age. Auctioneer cannot, and will not be held responsible for any interruption in service errors, and/or omissions, caused by any means and does not guarantee continual, uninterrupted or error free service or use of the Site. Bidder acknowledges that this auction is conducted electronically and relies on hardware and software that may malfunction without warning.

RESERVE:

If an item is being sold with a reserve, it will be clearly marked and identified. For items sold with a 'reserve', you will be required to pay a minimum amount in order to win the item.

AUCTION RECORDS:

In the event of a dispute, you agree to accept as true the information that we have in our records.

SOFT CLOSE:

Items close in 20 second intervals. All bids made in the last minute of the auction will cause an item to stay open for an additional 5 minutes. This will continue until all bidding has ceased.

STRATEGY:

We recommend that ALL BIDDERS put in their maximum bid when placing a bid online. This does not mean you will have to pay the amount you bid; you only pay one bid more than the next highest bid, and only up to your maximum bid. The software system will play out the bids as you would at a live auction and only uses the funds required to beat out the under-bidder at the prescribed bid increment.

CATALOGUE ERRORS & OMISSIONS:

If a description does not match a picture in a lot, the description takes precedence. All items are sold on an 'as is, where is' basis.

By bidding you are acknowledging agreement with the terms above. You also acknowledge and approve all applicable charged to the credit card on file, registered at the time of bidding. Do not bid unless you agree to all of these terms.
